We welcomed two new babies into the Mungo family this week, which makes it the perfect time to be launching our range of hooded kids’ towels! These are little people versions of our full size Interlace and Summer towels, so that mom and dad can match and make things fun for the whole family.
With two pointed bat wings to wrap around the body and a couple of racing stripes in the design, kids will feel like superheros of beach and bath time in the hooded Summer towels. Available in turquoise and hot pink colourways, they are highly absorbent (useful for drying those wriggling, runaway bodies) and compact enough to take up no space at all in an on-the-go bag.
Alternatively, the hooded white Interlace towel replaces the original hooded white Willow Weave towel as a more classic, minimal option. Perfect for swaddling freshly washed babies, a corner flap fits neatly over your little one’s head and ears, leaving the rest of the towel to tuck all the way around. The Interlace is also one of Mungos oldest designs, having first been produced by Master Weaver Stuart Holding more than 15 years ago.
To test them out we brought in Humairaa, the two year old daughter of our beloved, longtime Cape Town store manager Fatima, and were quickly schooled in the art of toddler wrangling.
It took a favourite song by Ciara (‘Level Up’, to be specific), a rhinoceros toy (accompanied by some very undignified snorting noises), and three grown adults wearing hooded baby towels while cooing in high pitched voices, but eventually we got this little busybody to keep still long enough for us to snap these cute pics.
