Let Us Introduce Ourselves

Let us introduce ourselves! Mungo has been steadily growing for nearly 15 years. It began as more of a hobby to founder Stuart Holding when he was given some unwanted Antique looms that were basically left for scrap. He refurbished and restored them in an out house of the Old Nick Homestead, which today is our Working Weaving Museum. Here all our sampling is done and many products are still woven on these looms.

Today Mungo is a booming little business with Stuart designing fabrics while his team of skilled weavers weaves them. Dax heads-up the Mungo shop with the ever willing Cecelia, and Tessa takes the photographs while making her way through the maze of online communication for mungo.co.za! Lastly but certainly not least Ginnie and her team of seamstresses, steamers, packers and pickers are on the production side of the business. Over time we will introduce the whole Mungo team. As we all know everyone plays an integral role in making a business work which allows us to love what we do!
