Mungo in Joburg

We are excited to bring Mungo back to Joburg with our new Pop-Up store at the 44 Stanley design and lifestyle centre in Milpark.  Here you will find our full range of homeware products from our renowned flat weave towels to table, kitchen and bed linen.

We have been open for nearly a month and are really enjoying being a part of this creative hub, surrounded by other local designers, artisans, and restaurants. It was a bit of a crazy start, but we managed to pop up the shop in just four days. In true Mungo fashion we like to do everything ourselves, which always makes for an incredible team building experience. All the shop fittings were recycled from past trade shows or from our shops. After some creative retrofitting to go with the industrial feel of 44 Stanley and a couple of lighting disasters we were ready to open. The Bramon Sparkling Wine which we brought from home certainly helped to make the opening celebrations more festive.

It’s always great having new people on board, and we are excited to have Happiness and Phumzile (our two lovely new shop assistants) join the Mungo team.
