The Mungo Mill
15 minutes from Mungo HQ (aka Old Nick Village) lies a picturesque dairy farm and one of our weaving operations. This is where our wider width materials are woven and the looms work at a little faster pace. We have recently given the mill a refurbishment, cleaned it up, washed it out and it now has the Mungo stamp of approval. It has also finally been christened The Mungo Mill!
We now have 3 different types of looms at Mungo. The antique Hattersley Looms in the Working Weaving Museum, Ruti Looms and some Dornier Looms as well as all the warping and winding equipment. Piling up a bit of a collection, we are!

Pattern cards and all the bits and bobs required to keep the looms running.

Warps get tied on individually. Nimble fingers required!

Love seeing the vibrant colours of yarn and the potential they have in them to create a piece of textile.

Checking thread density through the eye glass and our newly restored Ruti Loom.
