The Boma: A New Collection of Colours
Introducing a Soft and Spicy Palette
It’s been almost a decade since we launched the original Boma Cloth. It’s a design that’s found its way into kitchens and table settings across the globe. Because it’s rare to come across dishcloths and napkins that use a fancy weave (yes, that’s a real textile term for decorative cloth that is formed by the clever construction of a weave).
Over the last few months our design department has been working on refreshing the colours and reworking the weave, without changing the personality of this favourite Mungo original design.
Here it is: a soft, spicy and subtly reimagined Boma range to add to your collection.
We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Available in 6 new colours in kitchen linen and napkins.
Introducing Cardamom, Cumin, Ginger, Mint, Pepper and Truffle.
Woven with 100% cotton at the Mungo Mill.
Good Looks, Good Design
Our homeware range is designed to transform simple moments into everyday pleasures.
A kitchen cloth that needn’t be relegated to the back drawer. That can be used, enjoyed and hung up with pleasure. Or a set of cotton napkins that aren’t kept out of reach for rare occasions. But to be used daily, adding a touch of magic to every mealtime moment.
We use strong, well-constructed weaves, good quality natural fibres, and enduring design styles – so that longevity and timelessness are interwoven into every product.
The Boma Backstory
The Boma Cloth takes its name from the traditional African ‘boma’ – an enclosure or gathering place to enjoy an outdoor, fireside meal and soak up the open-air atmosphere of a warm and welcoming South African sun or starlit sky.
Drawing from the rich colour combinations that ripple through our natural landscape, the Boma Cloth is our way of bringing a bit of that Southern African sun-baked earthiness into the home.
