The unique appeal of a pocket weave is its ability to vary the design on either side of the cloth. Each tea towel is woven with two distinct layers, stitched together at points to form pockets. The result is a reversible cloth with a subtle yet striking pattern on either side. The finished handle is soft and cushiony, with ‘pockets’ that add durability and dimension.
Absorbent and Long-lasting.
More yarn in both the warp and weft results in a thicker, spongey cloth that absorbs moisture effortlessly. A good-looking, durable cloth designed to handle the demands of daily use.

“This isn’t your drab old kitchen cloth – it’s something special. It’s also the first time we’ve woven a dishcloth using a pocket weave. Traditionally, pocket weaves are done in a plain weave, but we wanted to play with it more, creating a loftier, more textured handle. So, we modified the plain weave to a 2/2 twill, introducing more floats. The result is a really luxurious, absorbent cloth, ideally suited to regular use in the kitchen. And it only gets better with time – becoming softer, more supple, and more absorbent.”
