Assistant Store Supervisor
📍44 Stanley, Johannesburg
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Assistant Store Supervisor to lead our team at our 44 Stanley store in Johannesburg. This role requires a confident and proactive individual who can oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing store performance against targets, maintaining high visual merchandising standards, and providing leadership and support to the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent in-store sales service.
– Keep up to date with product range and ensure that all store team have adequate product knowledge.
– Develop strong local community connections and identify marketing opportunities to enhance the store’s presence.
– Ensure the store remains in excellent condition, upholding high visual merchandising standards, and contribute innovative ideas for merchandising displays.
– Manage point-of-sale processes and customer relations.
– Manage stock levels by monitoring inventory, coordinating replenishments, conducting regular stock checks.
– Be an expert on the Mungo story and brand.
– Sales targets: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
– Understand the overall company strategy and how the retail goals fit into its direction.
– Report to retail manager daily/monthly with customer/store insights.
REQUIREMENTS
– Strong customer and sales focus.
– Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
– Confidence in dealing with customers and sharing your extensive product knowledge.
– Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
– A keen interest in interior design and textiles.
– Open to traveling as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
– Innovative with visual merchandising.Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
– Matric.
– Relevant qualification.
– Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant sales role.
– Experience in leading/supervising a team.
– Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
– Stock control and inventory knowledge.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
– Sales reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards targets.
– Drivers licence.
